Many of you have contact IMOS wondering what you can do to make a difference in the lives of those in Haiti. Conditions in Haiti are dire and supplies are limited. We are reminded of this fact each time we look to the media. Now is the time to act! Returning from the front lines in Haiti, Brother Dr. Daniel Ivankovich has indentified needed items of critical importance including: crutches, walkers, and canes. Since many of us have these items in our very own home going unused, we are asking that you consider donating any of these items to the Outreach program. We will then coordinate with Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization focused on the recovery and responsible redistribution of healthcare equipment and supplies to developing countries. They will insure that these supplies are flown to and distributed in Haiti. District Deputies will attend a meeting in Springfield on February 13. We ask that you check with your Lodge members to determine if they have such items and are willing to donate them. If so we would ask that any District deputy coordinate a drop off of these donations to the Grand Lodge on the 13th.

Carwile at ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are extremely blessed with our program Illinois Masonic Outreach Services. Established to address the unique needs of our aging members, wives and widows, we are taking the lead on an innovative program that will bridge the gap between community resource and member needs in order to promote physical, social, financial and personal enrichment to enhance the quality of life for our senior members. Under the leadership of our program Director, Mrs. Karla Carwile, Illinois Masons will be able to locate internal and external resources and assistance to meet a variety of needs. Her expertise in this field will allow us to provide you with superior service regardless of where you choose to reside. We all, every one of us, took an obligation to aid and assist all worthy distressed Brother Master Masons their widows and orphans. Through this excellent program and with your assistance we will live up to that promise. As Karla frequently states "If not YOU, then WHO?". Feel free to review the website!
