Facts about Aging in America!

Older Adults are a unique segment of the population. Two factors — longer life spans and aging baby boomers — will combine to double the population of Americans aged 65 and older during the next 25 years. By 2030, there will be 71 million American older adults accounting for roughly 20% of the U.S. population. 

The good news is that we are living, not just longer, but healthier than ever before.  Despite this, there comes a time when most people need some help to remain as independent as possible. In Illinois, 9% of seniors live in poverty.  With more than 38,000 Masons over the age of 60, do you know a Mason in need?

• 14 Members/Widows are able to receive monthly assistance

• 2 Members have received One-Time Assistance

• 14 Widows have been provided outreach

• 21 Members have been given referrals for -
         Food, Clothing, Energy and Medical Assistance
